Be the best you can be

Sometimes starting over is necessary to become the best that we can be. If you are surrounded by negative relationships and situations, you may need to distance yourself so you can find clarity and create something better. Start by focusing on your own attitude. Once you gain a positive perspective, you will see matters in a new light. The mind is a sacred place. You can close the windows and darken your space, or you can open your windows and let light in. It's your choice. But when you begin to think differently, you will attract more love, more happiness and more success.
Baja Fish Tacos
3/4 pounds mahi mahi or other firm white fish fillets
2 teaspoons fajita seasoning
2 cups presliced green cabbage (about 6 ounces)
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
8 (6-inch) corn tortillas
2 1/2 tablespoons reduced-fat sour cream, divided (optional)
1/2 avocado, pitted and diced
1. Lightly spray grill rack with nonstick cooking spray, and preheat grill.
2. Sprinkle both sides of fish with fajita seasoning, gently pressing into flesh. Grill fish 3-4 minutes on each side or until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork. Flake into pieces with a fork; keep warm.
3. In a small bowl, mix together cabbage, lime juice, salt, and cilantro.
4. Wrap the tortillas in paper towels, and microwave 1 minute on HIGH or until they're warm.
5. Place taco ingredients on the table for assembly. Spread each tortilla with 1 teaspoon of sour cream, if desired, and top with fish, cabbage mixture, and avocado. Serve with salsa and lime wedges on the side.
Stop trying to be everything to everyone. Doing so is impossible and trying will only burn you out. But making one person smile can change the world. Well, maybe not the entire world, but their world. So believe in yourself and share your kindness with others.
Are you planning your life according to circumstances? Have you ever noticed how some people are always waiting for the "right" time to start projects, continue their education or start a wellness program? People can live their whole lives waiting and never getting any closer to reaching their dreams. Instead of focusing on what's missing in your life, appreciate what you have right now. The happiest people don't have the best of everything, but they know how to make the most of everything. Life happens fast, so don't put your dreams off another day.
Make time for yourself and do activities that you enjoy or learn a new skill. We all need time to re-charge our batteries. It makes us better as parents, in our careers and in our relationships. It rejuvenates our mind and increases our productivity. You are worth it.
Find a purpose that truly moves you and makes you excited to get out of bed every morning. When we feel like we are part of a greater cause, it makes us feel good inside. Volunteer your time or share acts of benevolence with others. Get involved and make a difference. That is truly what life is all about.
Being in good physical shape allows us to participate in activities that we enjoy. Being healthy gives us the energy and ambition to tackle all of life's experiences. And when we look good, we feel good about ourselves. So start taking better care of your health.
Don't settle in life. In the end, you won't regret the things that you have done, nearly as much as the things that you have left undone. So, live life to the fullest and be the best that you can be.
