It's never too late

It's never too late. You are here breathing, which means you still have a chance to do what you might have done, and be what you might have been. Right now you have an opportunity to write yourself a future free of regret.
If you appreciate someone today, tell them. If you have something to say, say it now. If there is something that you need to do, do it. And if there is something that you want in life, find a way to make it happen. There might not be a tomorrow. Today is the day to express your feelings and take action!
The chances you didn't take. The relationships you were afraid to nurture. The decisions you waited too long to make. The things you didn't even try when you had the chance. Those important words you left unspoken and deeds you left undone, are still opportunities that exist right now.
You must not let fear prevent you from having a loving relationship, having a career that you are passionate about or from trying new experiences that will bring you joy and happiness. You must try, and then try again with all your might. Your courage will unfold as your resolve takes hold. And with each effort you make, you will earn a little more confidence which you can use to acquire what no one else can give you: Your self-respect, and the life you were meant to live.
You can't have a great day today if you're still dwelling on what you could have, should have, or would have done yesterday. Forget the failures of the past and focus on the present opportunities. This moment is here and now for you to live. And this moment doesn't have any mistakes in it yet. You still have a chance to get it right, if you choose to.
Your current life circumstances have no relevance on what you can make for your future. Your future is immediate. And you are only as good as what you do today, and not what you think you'll do tomorrow.
So get your priorities straight. You already know that the best way to make progress is to start - to take a small step right now.

BLT Salad with Basil Mayo Dressing
1/2 pound bacon
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
1/4 cup finely chopped fresh basil
4 slices French bread, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon canola oil
1 pound romaine lettuce - rinsed, dried, and torn into bite-size pieces
1 pint cherry tomatoes, quartered
Place bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Drain, crumble and set aside, reserving 2 tablespoons of the drippings.
In a small bowl, whisk together the reserved bacon drippings, mayonnaise, vinegar and basil and let dressing stand, covered, at room temperature.
In a large skillet over medium heat, toss the bread pieces with the salt and pepper. Drizzle with the oil, continue tossing and cook over medium-low heat until golden brown.
In a large bowl mix together the romaine, tomatoes, bacon and croutons. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss well.
