Keep moving forward

In light of all the recent devastation that has occurred around the world, remember to stay focused on all the goodness that surrounds you every day! Don't let circumstances deter you from reaching your goals.
Whether you are directly impacted by one of the recent tragedies, or are experiencing your own hardship, remember you have the power to choose how you react to it and in your reaction lies growth, happiness and freedom.
During times of adversity, fear is the most powerful single factor that deprives you of being able to achieve your full potential in life. Fear is a cloaked enemy that whispers negative thoughts into your mind, body and soul. It invades your emotional vision and holds you prisoner from seeing the opportunities that surround you.
Don't fall victim to external circumstances. Inaction based on fear not only stops you from achieving, it stops you from living. Courage is being scared to death and then taking the next step anyway. Venturing into the unknown can sometimes be daunting, but not nearly as bad as looking back and realizing all the great opportunities you failed to see because your vision was consumed by external factors.
In any situation, it's not your specific circumstances that shape you, it's how you react to your circumstances. Realize that not everything in life is meant to be modified or perfectly understood. Learn what you can and don't waste energy worrying about the things you can't change. If you can't change something you don't like, change the way you think about it.
What you believe either weakens you or makes you stronger. Even in times of uncertainty, always believe in yourself and your own abilities. Don't lose sight of your goals and your dreams. Believing takes practice, but it also makes the impossible, possible.
Life is always going to present us with unexpected changes. But if you keep an open mind, look for the goodness in every situation and are able to adapt in any of life's misfortunes, you will always prevail.
Remember, you can't direct the wind, but you can always adjust your sails. Even the most violent storms are followed by beautiful rainbows. And even in the darkest night, you are surrounded by millions of twinkling stars.
It's fine to feel a bit uncomfortable at times. It's OK if you don't know exactly what's going to happen next, or how much you can handle. As long as you gradually keep moving forward you will eventually learn what you need to know and come out stronger and wiser in the end.
The world is full of uncertainty and the road you are traveling may be a bit scary at times, but don't ever lose faith. Let go of the scary things that are holding you back and start noticing the great realities unfolding around you. And most of all believe in yourself and never give up on what's important to you!
