Felony drug sales and weapons charges are pending against a Preston man and woman following the conclusion of an ongoing drug investigation in Fillmore County.
Trevor Schweitzer, 35 and Nicole Olson, 31, both of Preston, were arrested following a search warrant executed Thursday shortly after 5 p.m. at 103 Valley Street in Preston, where a loaded handgun was discovered along with suspected methamphetamine, and material for weighing and packaging, according to Captain John DeGeorge of the Fillmore County Sheriff’s Office. The Austin-Mower SERT Team assisted with the operation and conducted a tactical entry at the residence.
The arrest was subsequent to a lengthy investigation by the Southeastern Minnesota Narcotics Task Force, the South Central Drug Investigation Unit and the Fillmore County Sheriff’s Office, said DeGeorge.
Schweitzer and Olson will be held in the Fillmore County Jail pending initial court appearances.
Assisting in the search warrant were the Austin-Mower SERT Team, Preston Police Department, and the Preston area ambulance service.
