Ernest (Ernie) Merton Corson, 102, Hesper, Iowa, died in his sleep, on Aug. 20, 2017, with his family at his side at Aase Haugen Senior Services in Decorah, Iowa.

He was born on the Young family farm outside of Hesper, Iowa, on May 29, 1915, to Elmer Melvin and Emma (Young) Corson.

    William "Bill" Todd Frazer, 38, of Spring Valley, died peacefully on Friday, Aug. 25, 2017, at his home.

    LaMerne Katherine (Pettelko) Iverson, 89, of Decorah, Iowa, and formerly of Harmony, died Monday, Aug. 21, 2017, at the Winneshiek Medical Center in Decorah.

    Constance "Connie" Pauline Rehm, 70, of Rochester, died on Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017, after a 40-year relationship with Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
  • Beth Ann Peterson, 43, once of area

    Beth Ann Peterson died suddenly on Friday, Aug. 11, 2017, the result of a brain aneurysm.

    Beth was born April 2, 1974, in Caledonia to Gerald and Judy (Ranzenberger) Tollefsrud. She grew up in Spring Grove and graduated from Spring Grove High School in 1992. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church, Spring Grove.

  • Constance Rehm, 70, mother of Wykoff man

    Constance "Connie" Pauline Rehm, 70, of Rochester, died on Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017, after a 40-year relationship with Multiple Sclerosis (MS).

    She was born Nov. 13, 1946, to Helen (Andreas) Roberson and Sam Roberson.

    She was lovingly raised by her mother and stepfather, Homer Brown, in Lanesboro.

  • Alexander Roderic Hopkins, 25, of Harker Heights, Texas, died Aug. 14, 2017, as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in Austin, Texas.

    He was born Jan. 25, 1992, in Clovis, Calif., and was raised in Fresno, Calif. He is the son of Keith and Angela (Bennett) Hopkins, the third of their four children. Angela is formerly of Spring Valley. 

  • Kevin L. Hanson, 47, of Mabel, died on Sunday, Aug. 14, 2017, in Vernon County, Wis., from injuries sustained in a boating accident.

    He was born on Sept. 1, 1969, in Caledonia to Bruce and Martha (Dawley) Hanson.

    He attended the Mabel-Canton Schools.

  • Joyce Duncan, 90, once of Canton

    Joyce Marie Duncan, age 89, of Rochester, died on Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017, at Season's Hospice Home in Rochester following an unexpected cancer diagnosis which progressed rapidly.

    Joyce Marie Underbakke was born on July 1, 1928, one of ten children, born to Knut and Amanda Underbakke in Canton.

  • Lynn Rustad, 69, once of Lanesboro

    Lynne K. Rustad, 69, formerly of Lanesboro, died on Aug. 4, 2017, in Lincoln, Neb.

    She was born on April 26, 1948, in Columbia, S.C. 

  • James Wagner, 68, of Lanesboro

    James "Jim" William Wagner, 68, of Lanesboro, died peacefully at his home on Aug. 3, 2017, surrounded by his family.

    He was born to Roland, Sr. and Marjorie (Krause) Wagner on Oct. 16, 1948, in Elysian, Minn.

  • Beatrice Hansen, 97, formerly of Wykoff
    Beatrice (Jerred) (Applen) Hansen of LeRoy, formerly of Wykoff and Rochester, died on Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2017, at Wildwood Grove in LeRoy.
  • Joie (Joan) Anderson Lee, 92, of New Mexico and formerly of Preston, died on Saturday, July 22, 2017.

  • Paul Irvin, Sr., 88, father of Canton woman
    Paul D. Irvin Sr., 88, of Austin, died on Monday, July 24, 2017, at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester.
