Cheryl Burden, 64, sister of Mabel woman

Cheryl Ann Burden, 64, of Isanti, Minn., died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at the GracePointe Crossing Gables East in Cambridge, Minn.
She was born Aug. 23, 1948, in Spring Grove to Henry and Sylvia (Sagdalen) Hermanson. She was raised in the Spring Grove area and graduated from Spring Grove High School.
Cheryl was blessed with three children - Cyndy, Brian and Derrick.
She worked at Hoffman Engineering where she met and worked alongside her husband, Bob Burden. On June 24, 1995, they were married at Long Lake Lutheran Church and lived in Isanti since that time.
Cheryl enjoyed fishing, traveling, woodworking, shopping, going to auctions, antiquing and refurnishing antique furniture. Most of these activities were done side by side with her loving husband. She was very close to all her family. Cheryl was also a member of Long Lake Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband of 17 years, Bob; two sons, Derrick Kobus of St. Francis, and Brian (Melissa) Kobus of East Bethel; a daughter, Cyndy (Neil) Young of Pinson, Ala.; a brother, Gary (Diane) Hermanson of Hastings; four sisters, Loretta (Richard) Holland of Minnesota City, Arlene (Kenny) Westrud of Winona, Jean Blagsvedt of Mabel and Diane (Gary) Peterson of Northfield; six grandchildren, Karrah, Kody, Kennedy, Kyler, John Wesley and Adrianna; and several other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Ronnie, at birth; a sister, Jeanette Nelson; and a brother, Erling Hermanson.
A Celebration of Life was held Jan. 25.
