Donavan M. Hoff, 68, of Hastings, Minn., died on June 3, 2013, after a long, dignified struggle with Multiple System Atrophy.

He was born on April 4, 1945, in Lanesboro to Vernice (Nelson) and Myles Hoff.

He was a talented woodworker, sportsman, and a 35-year employee of the Minnesota Department of Transportation Bridge Department.

He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 48 years, Laura (Ristine); his beloved daughters, Heather (Anthony) Arvidson, Sara (Mark) Vieth and Alissa Hoff (Nathan Fluegge); the joys of his life, his grandchildren, Lily and Jack Arvidson, Cody, Maggie and Wyatt Vieth, and Mason Hoff-Fluegge; his siblings Loretta (Leonard) Halverson, Larry (Nancy) Hoff, Veronica (Richard) Sticha and Roger (Nancy) Hoff; sisters-in-law, Rose (Gary) Kamrath and Caroline (Jeff) Obst; and many loving nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by his parents; a brother-in-law, Roger Ristine; and sisters-in-law, Lila Ristine and Diane Workman.

A memorial service was held last Friday at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Hastings.
