Penny Rae Laganiere, 56, of Ramsey, Minn., formerly of Lanesboro, died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, in St. Louis Park, Minn., following a brief illness.
She was born Dec. 1, 1955, in Lanesboro to Austin and Alvina (Rasmussen) Randall. She attended Lanesboro High School and stayed in the area until moving to Ramsey in 1988, where she had worked as a paraprofessional in the Anoka School District.
She enjoyed animals, especially her cats and dogs, her vegetable garden, flowers, cooking and spending time with family.
She is survived by seven children, Tricia Laganiere-Sand of Mabel, Matt of Galliano, La., Essica Laganiere (Fred Lett) of Bloomington, Minn., Kyle (Ashley) of Farmington, Minn., Ryan (Bobie) of Preston, LaMonte, Jr., (Kristi Nordby) of Anoka and Angelique Lerdall of Ramsey; 12 grandchildren, Addy, Asjha, Belle, Fred, Jr., Gabby, Michael, Katelyn, Amari, Cameren, Austin, Matthew, Jr., and Ryan, Jr.; a brother, Merlin (Gloria) Paulson of Rochester; and special friend, Bryan Lerdall of Ramsey.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 5, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Lanesboro with the Rev. Kerry Eversole officiating. Private burial will be in the Lanesboro Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
