Sheila Harper Donahue, Lady DaHinten, 69, died of cancer on Sept. 11, 2012, at her home in Brooklyn Center, Minn.

She was born in Chicago and resided in Lanesboro and Rochester prior to settling down in the Twin Cities area.
She attained her degree in nursing and worked in mental health as a registered nurse for Fairview Hospital for many years until retiring in 2010.
She enjoyed gardening, vacationing, listening to music, dancing, reading and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, The Honorable Alex Edmund DaHinten, IV; her daughter, Melanie Johnson; son, Brian (Stacia) Johnson; stepsons, Edmund DaHinten, V, Franz Diego DaHinten and Erick DaHinten; granddaughters, Kathryn Donahue and Alexandra McChesney; sisters, Kate O'Neary and Ginny (Dick) Wild, as well as many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Virginia Donahue, and her son, Alexander Johnson.
A memorial service was held at The Cremation Society of Minnesota - Brooklyn Park Chapel, on Monday. A graveside service followed at Mound Cemetery of Brooklyn Center.
