The Fillmore Central girls basketball team ended its season with a 7-20 record, after going 1-1 in the 1A-East Tournament. The gals got an opening round win over Houston, 82-72, then lost in the sub-section quarterfinals to Spring Grove 69-30.

Senior Jordan O'Connor played her last game on the home court and took advantage of it. O'Connor had seven field goals, hitting five of nine from three-pointers, and finished the night with 23 points. She was also four of six from the free throw line. Adding five rebounds, a steal and an assist, she had one of her best games of the season.

Three other Lady Falcons were in double-figures, including Morgan Malley (18), Sammi Bakke (13) and Kenzie Broadwater (11). Malley was six for nine from the field (3/6 on 3's) and three for four at the line. Broadwater had one of her best all-around games. Along with the 11 points, she had seven rebounds, four assists and seven steals. Bakke hit six of nine from the field and one of two from the charity stripe. Rounding out the scoring were Leah Scheevel (8), Kaitlynn Aug (6), Kendyl Bennet (2) and Kayley Olson (1).

"I thought our girls played hard and well enough to win," said coach Sarah Tollefsrud. "We allowed Houston to get back into the game with our inconsistent defense. Nice to see Jordan have such a good last home game," added Tollefsrud.

In the loss at Spring Grove, Morgan Malley had seven points and eight rebounds. Next on the list for scoring were Larissa Armstrong, Jordan O'Connor, Kenzie Broadwater, Sammi Bakke and Kaitlynn Aug, each with four. Leah Scheevel added three points. Bakke also had eight rebounds in the loss.
