Lanesboro golfers finally hit the links

After weeks of postponements, the Lanesboro's boys' and girls' golf squads finally got to compete on Friday, April 26.
Sunny skies greeted golfers at Valley High Golf Club outside Houston. Going up against the Hurricanes, the boys' varsity team came up short, shooting 238 while Houston came in with a combined score of 194. For the girls, Lanesboro shot 278. They were also bettered by the home team, which shot 256.
The four lowest varsity scores are combined for a team total. The course at Valley High is par 36 for the gents, par 37 for the ladies.
Johanna Bearson was meet medalist with a round of 50. She was joined by teammates McKenzie Hanson (68), Alexis Jorgensen (74), and Brooke Kimball (85).
Liam Dorn shot the low score for the Burro boys, bringing in a 48. Other varsity scores came from Tristen Chiglo (58), Adam Sutter (58), and Nathan Eversole (74).
Glenville-Emmons is scheduled to visit Lanesboro on May 3. LHS was also scheduled to send the boys' varsity to the Lake City Invitational on April 29 and both the boys and girls were to host Lyle-Pacelli at Lanesboro Golf Club on April 30.
