Lanesboro golfers keep busy

Lanesboro golfers teed it up every day last week.
On Monday, May 5, the teams traveled to Harmony Golf Course for a match with Fillmore Central. The ladies from FC won, 194-232, while the boys defended their turf as well, winning 172-188.
Kati Tammel of FC was meet medalist at 51.
Madeline Snyder fired a 55 for LHS. Hope Knepper shot 57, while Heather Boyum (59), and McKenzie Hanson (61) rounded out the varsity scorecard. Alexis Jorgensen and Brooke Kimball also played for the varsity.
Jordan Miller of FC medaled for the lads. Liam Dorn, Johnathan Bierman, Isaac Bierman, and Tristen Chiglo all shot 47 for LHS. The fourth score came from Adam Sutter, who carded a 49. Nick Wagner also shot for the varsity.
Lanesboro Golf Course was the site of Tuesday's matches. The LHS ladies defeated Houston 223-266, while the Burro boys won 200-211.
Kelly Jerviss of Houston took medalist honors with a round of 49.
The top four for LHS were Knepper (52), Hanson (56), Boyum (57) and Snyder (58). Kimball also teed it up for the varsity.
Sutter medaled for the boys at 47. He was joined by Dorn (48), Isaac Bierman (51), and Johnathan Bierman (54). Chiglo and Nate Eversole also played varsity.
On Wednesday, LHS hosted Lyle/Pacelli. With only one female golfer, the visitors had to settle for an "incomplete." The Lanesboro boys won, 182-205.
Maggie Leif carded a 57 for the Athletics. Knepper had the low round for LHS (55), followed by Snyder and Boyum, who both shot 60. Hanson carded a 62, for a team total of 237.
For the boys, Isaac and Johnathan Bierman shared medalist honors at 45. Dorn and Chiglo both shot 46. Sutter and Greyson Stocker rounded out the varsity team.
Thursday was another home match for the Burros, who were visited by Grand Meadow/LeRoy-Ostrander.
GMLO's Kaitlin Kling played alone, and got the lowest round with a 45. LHS had a complete score (237). Hanson (58) and Knepper (59) were the top Burros, while Snyder and Jorgensen (who both shot 60) rounded out the score sheet. Amy Kelly and Kimball also played for the varsity.
Dorn broke into the 30s as medalist (37). He was backed by Isaac Bierman (44), Johnathan Bierman (45), and Chiglo (48). Sutter and Stocker also teed it up.
Lanesboro traveled to Cedar River Golf Club on Friday for another match with GMLO. The ladies again shot 237, while their hosts had to settle for an "incomplete" with only two golfers. Kling was the medalist once again, shooting 46.
For LHS, Knepper (51), Jorgensen (59), Boyum (61), and Hanson (66) turned in team scores. Lexi Lea and Morgan Ming also played for the varsity.
GMLO's Tyler Sloan medaled for the boys, firing a 43. Lanesboro won the match, however (182-190).
Chiglo shot a 44, while Isaac Bierman (45), Johnathan Bierman (46) and Dorn (47) completed the card. Sutter and Stocker also played for the varsity.
