Esther Wiste, 83, sister of Fountain woman

Esther Wiste, 83, of Austin, died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester.
Esther Lorraine Hardecopf was born Nov. 29, 1928, in rural Mower County to William and Rachel (Julson) Hardecopf.
She graduated from Adams High School in 1947.
She married Paul Wiste Oct. 14, 1948, at Marshall Lutheran Church in Adams. They made their home in Adams and later in Austin.
She bowled league and tournaments for many years in Aus-tin and Adams before turning her interest to golf. Many re-member her from the Cedar River Country Club where she was an avid golfer and helped with many tournaments, as well as being the clubhouse manager for a number of years. She was a dedicated member of the Adams American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed people and was always ready to play cards with fellow residents of the Oaks Condos.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Terry Ross of Austin; sisters, Wilma Weness of Adams and Pearl Finseth of Fountain; brother and sister-in-law, Lloyd and Alice Hardecopf of LeRoy; brother, Neal Hardecopf and friend, Ida Weber, of Holmen, Wis.; brother-in-law, Harold (Alice) Wiste; and sister-in-law, Kathleen Wiste, both of Adams; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; an infant son in 1951; sisters, Marion Fossey and Dorothy Kadlec, as well as her parents.
According to her strict wishes there will be no visitation or service. There will be a private burial at Little Cedar Lutheran Cemetery.
She wishes to be remembered by her friends and family with a toast to good health whenever they think of her.
