Freda A. Lobland, 94, of Rochester, died peacefully at Samaritan Bethany Home in Rochester on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013.
She was born June 22, 1919, in Fountain to Casper and Cora (Wead) Bremseth.
She married Glen Lobland on May 10, 1940, in Lanesboro and lived there until 1942. The couple moved to Austin and lived there for three years, then to the Kellogg and Wabasha area for 12 years. In 1959, they moved to Rochester. Mr. Lobland died June 29, 1971.
She worked for Montgomery Ward in Rochester for 30 years.
She enjoyed playing bingo and watching the Minnesota Twins and Vikings.
Survivors include her daughter, Sandra (George) Peterson of Deckers, Colo.; three granddaughters and two grandsons; and a number of great- and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Martha Vogen of Stewartville and Ovedia Bakken of Wykoff.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen; son, Darrell; granddaughter, Keta; and 14 brothers and sisters.
The funeral service was held Monday, Nov. 25, in the River Park Chapel at Macken Funeral Home in Rochester. Burial was in Grandview Memorial Gardens in Rochester.
