Georgina Harris, 61, mother of Fountain man

Georgina "Georgi" Harris, 61, of Lewiston, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, at her home.
She was born Jan. 28, 1951, in Hungary to Michael and Anna (Martin) Kellan. At an early age she immigrated with her father and siblings to Australia. In 1970 she moved to the United States and was married. She later divorced.
On Sept. 23, 1983, she married Kenneth Harris.
She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lewiston and was known for her strong will and was proud of becoming a naturalized U.S. citizen. She attended Winona Vo-Tech and worked for Riverside Electronics and Camera Art of Lewiston.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, riding Harley, socializing and dancing.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth; children, Jason (Holly Theede-Kiese) Kiese of Fountain, Mike (Brenda Hvitved) Kiese of Weaver, Heidi (Joshua) Sisson of Tomah, Wis., Valerie (John) Jimenez of St. Charles; stepchildren, Angel Lund of Peterson, John (Michelle) Harris of Red Wing and Amy Harris of Rushford; 13 grandchildren; a brother, Michael Kellan; a sister, Valerie Carnovale and a stepsister, Elizabeth Appleby, all of Sydney, Australia; and two of her closest friends, Sandy Pritzl of Lake City and Donna Luehmann of Lewiston.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Cindy Jo; her parents; stepmother and father-in-law, Paul Harris.
Funeral services were held last Tuesday at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lewiston, with the Revs. Michael A. Lindemann and M. John Dermé officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
