Julia V. Waldron, 88, of Stewartville, formerly of Austin, died Friday evening, Sept. 21, 2012, at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester.
She was born Feb. 10, 1924, in Lanesboro, the daughter of John and Betsy (Knutson) Waller.
On Oct. 31, 1942, she was united in marriage to Dwight Waldron in Lancaster, Mo. She and her husband made Austin their home and lived there for over 70 years.
She was member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin. She enjoyed fishing and being on the water, painting and tending to her flower garden.
Survivors include a son, Steven (Catherine) Waldron of Eden Prairie; two granddaughters, Kelley (Michael) Monasterio of Medina, Ohio, and Jessica Waldron of Eden Prairie; two great-grandchildren, Morgan and Avery Monasterio; a sister-in-law, Linda Waller of Austin; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dwight on Nov. 27, 2005; six sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Sept. 25, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin. Interment was at Oakwood Cemetery in Austin.
Memorials are preferred to the family.
