Fillmore Central sophomore Morgan Malley had 23 points against Kingsland, hitting eight of 13 shots from the field and four of six from the free throw line in a 57-48 Three Rivers Conference loss to the Knights. She was also three for six from three-point range.
"It was a fairly good game for us," said coach Sarah Tollefsrud. "We certainly need to clean up our passes, and we made way more mistakes than Kingsland, but I thought our girls outworked them." The Lady Falcons had 21 turnovers in the game.
Leah Scheevel had 11 points, hitting four of six from the field, including one of one from long range. She was two for two from the line. Freshman Larissa Armstrong had four points, hitting one of two from the field and two of three from the charity stripe. Also scoring for Fillmore Central were Jordan O'Connor (4), Kayley Olson (1), eighth grade Kenzie Broadwater (3) and Kaitlynn Aug (2). Aug was also the leading rebounder with four. Scheevel led the team with three steals.
