The Fillmore Central Music Department will be hosting its first annual "Monster Bash" haunted house this October. This spooktacular event will be held at the Harmony Community Center starting on Oct. 19 and running through Halloween Night, Oct. 31.
The "Bash" will feature an elaborate haunted house, refreshments and T-shirts for sale. The first night of the event will be purposely less scary, tailored to young children and adults who want to enjoy the fun without the fright.
There will also be stories about monsters for families on the half hour during the first night. On both weekends, there will be hayrack rides available around the grounds of the community center.
The hours of operation are the less scary night on Friday, Oct. 19, 7 to 9 p.m.; Saturday, Oct. 20, opening fright night, from 7 to 11 p.m.; daily Sunday, Oct. 21, through Thursday, Oct. 25, from 7 to 10 p.m.; Friday, Oct. 26, and Saturday, Oct. 27, 7 to 11 p.m.; and daily from Sunday, Oct. 28, through Wednesday, Oct. 31, 7 to 10 p.m.
Admission is just $5 per person, or $20 for an unlimited season pass. There is also a family pass of $20 for families of 5 or larger to go through one time.
All proceeds go directly into student band and choir accounts for upcoming performance trips in 2012 and 2014. Thank you to all of the individuals and businesses who donated to make this such a special event! See you there!
