Two performers, Evan and Wiz, from Midwest Dueling Pianos entertained a standing-room-only crowd at the Mabel Area Community Center on Saturday night, March 15, to raise funds to establish a community market in Mabel.

The show was an all request, tip/donation theme, where the piano players performed music requested by the audience in exchange for tips, which were then donated to the market.

"We're very happy with tonight's turnout, I just hope everyone has a good time," said Lonnie Peirce, chair of the community market board.

From the amount of dancing, singing and clapping hands observed, it appeared all those in attendance thoroughly enjoyed the performance.

All 300 printed tickets to the concert were sold, and still more tickets were sold at the door.

Peirce said the community market board will meet this coming Wednesday and will then learn the total amount of funds raised from the event.
