The Winneshiek Medical Center – Mabel Clinic celebrated its first year of offering expanded hours by opening the doors to the public for an open house on Friday, July 11.
“We at the Mabel Clinic are very excited in how Mabel has embraced our expansion. Expanded hours have been an asset to our community and it is great to be able to serve our rural community with all the resources of the Winneshiek Medical Center,” said Kirsten Wyffels, Doctor of Nursing Practice.
“It was a year ago that that we increased our presence (in Mabel) to five days a week. It is great to be in this community and to provide great health care. It has been very well received and we are happy to be here,” said Winneshiek Medical Center Administrator Dave Rooney.
There were giveaways, tours and the first 50 guests received a free carnation. Attendees were also able to sign up to win one of three Winneshiek Medical Center Centennial Red Wing Commemorative pottery pieces.
