The 2013 Mabel-area vacation Bible school was held Monday, June 3, through Thursday, June 6, with kids ages pre-kindergarten through sixth grade attending Kingdom Rock where they discovered how to stand strong for God. They were rocking each night from 6 to 8 p.m.

Kingdom Rock was filled with incredible Bible-learning activities where kids learned about God. It was a place where faith and imagination soared. Kids learned to look for evidence of God all around them through something called God sightings. Kids enjoyed hands-on Bible adventures and daily video visits with Chadder Chipmunk.

Those participating in the Bible school were reminded to trust God no matter who they are, how they feel, what people do, or where they are.

The kids sang catchy songs, played teamwork-building games, made crafts, visited the food shelf and enjoyed snacks with one another.

Sponsoring churches for the Mabel-area vacation Bible school were Mabel First Lutheran, Mabel and Newburg United Methodist Churches, St. Olaf Catholic Church and Scheie and Garness Lutheran Churches. Additional financial support was received from the Area Council of Churches.
