Raymond Timothy O'Connor II, 69, of Kenosha, Wis., died Oct. 4, 2012, at his home after battling cancer and congestive heart failure.

He was a proud Army veteran of two combat tours in Vietnam as a helicopter pilot, and received the Air Medal, 20th Oak Leaf Cluster for Valor. He retired in 2005 from Bane Nelson, Inc., after a long successful career in construction.

He is survived by his wife, Connie of 29 years; sons, Tim (Deb) O'Connor of Kasson, Bobby of Kenosha and Adrian of Kenosha; daughters, Vilma (Gary) Book of Kansas City, Kan., and Amor of Kenosha; grandchildren, Mikayla, Chase, Keagan, Angel and Joseph; and siblings Monica Young, Jerome (Sharyol) O'Connor, Joseph (Lydia) O'Connor, Frederick (Linda) O'Connor, Mary (Donald) Ruen, Charles (Joan) O'Connor, Richard (Teresa O'Connor), Susan (Gerald) O'Connor-Meyer and Elizabeth (Baird) Swanson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Helen O'Connor and two siblings, Theresa Sylvanus and Gerald O'Connor.

The funeral Mass was held on Monday at St. Peter Parish in Kenosha, Wis. A memorial Mass was also offered on Wednesday at St. Columban Church in Preston. Interment will be at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17.
