Stanley H. Fishbaugher, 92, of Harmony, died Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, at the Harmony Health Care Center in Harmony.

He was born July 22, 1921, in rural Preston, the son of John D. and Bernice (Scrabeck) Fishbaugher. He attended Bristol Center School in Fillmore County.

On Aug. 30, 1941, he married Junetta "Dolly" Applen at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Granger. He and his wife were longtime members of the First Baptist Church in Preston.

He was a lifelong Fillmore County farmer and hauled livestock. He loved his farm, feeding and watching the birds and taking care of his yard. He was proud of his Farmall tractor that had been restored. He enjoyed horses and was a member of the Iowa Minnesota State Line Horse Association.

He is survived by his wife, Junetta "Dolly" Fishbaugher of Harmony; five children, Bonnie Safe of Edina, Minn., Beverly Emme of Hutchinson, Minn., Judy Tieman of Harmony, Karen (John) Babler of Mound, Minn., Mark Fishbaugher of Harmony; a daughter-in-law, Rita (Mike) Ross of Nashwauk, Minn.; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two siblings, Robert Fishbaugher of Harmony and Phyllis (Gene) Hageman of Harmony; three sisters-in-law, Ellyn Fishbaugher of Preston, Kathryn Fishbaugher of Harmony and Marlene Fishbaugher of Harmony; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He is preceded in death by a son, Phillip Fishbaugher; a son-in-law, Dennis Safe; four brothers, Clayton, John Jr. "Jack," Harvey and Orrin Fishbaugher.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 19, at the Greenfield Lutheran Church in Harmony. Interment followed at Greenfield Cemetery in Harmony. Because of his love of horses, the family arranged to have him taken to Greenfield cemetery by a horse-drawn carriage.

Lindstrom Funeral Home in Harmony was in charge of arrangements.
