The Fillmore Central/Lanesboro softball team finished with a 12-3 regular season record as it went 3-2 in the playoffs to finish with an overall record of 15-5.

The Falcons were runner-up in the Three Rivers - South, champion of 1A East Sub-section and third place in Section 1A.

"We had a tremendous season," said coach Tris Tollefson. "We were ranked in the top 10 teams for five weeks in a row. We just missed winning the South Division for the Three Rivers Conference by just one game. We were able to win the sub-section and played right with all the teams in our section.

"The exciting news is that we have all our players returning. We have a lot of work to do, but we feel we took another giant step this year and we are already looking forward to next year. Another great honor for our program is that Morgan Malley was named to the all-state first team this year."
