Gostomski Fieldhouse at St. Mary's University (Winona) was the site of the Early Bird indoor track meet hosted by Lewiston-Altura on March 25. An un-scored event, the competition resembles a scrimmage for area thinclads.

Lanesboro/Fillmore Central/Mabel-Canton athletes were joined by competitors from eight other programs.

In girls events, the 4x400M relay team of Alisa Warnes, Kendyl Bennett, Paige Bennett, and Kenzie Broadwater won its race with a time of 4:39.63.

Broadwater also finished fifth in the 55M dash (8.25). Michaela Brazee took 13th (8.80), while Maryiah Miller was 21st (9.3).

In the 200M, Sydney Johnson was 12th (32.30), while Rachel Eversole took 14th (32.82).

At 400M, Alyssa Gathje took sixth with a time of 1:11.48. Maggie Decker was ninth at 1:13.18. Leah Ruen finished 10th at 1:13.65.

The 800M run found Sara Vettleson-Trutza taking sixth with a time of 2:54.89. Wiebke Buechsen-Schuetz was 14th at 3:05.98.

The 1600M run featured Kiera Olson in third at 6:09.69. Kimberly Morrow was sixth at 7:19.14, while Hannah Reiter was seventh at 7:31.87.

The 55M hurdles had Journey Olson taking 10th with a time of 12.44.

In the 4x800M relay, L/FC/M-C took second with a time of 11:15.83. Olson, Leah Ruen, Decker and Gathje made up that squad.

The 1600 sprint medley found the team of Johnson, Madison Ming, Warnes, and Kirsten Ruen taking fourth at 5:06.97.

Katlyn Evans took sixth in shot put with a throw of 26-03.00.

In boys events, the 4x400M relay was won by the team of Quentin Case, Zach Case, Nathaniel Harrison, and Brandon Breitsprecher in 3:54.56. The L/FC/M-C "B" squad took sixth in 4:03.17, featuring Gabe Decker, Jakob Ritter, Mac Stone, and Damon Zutz.

Ritter tied for 10th in the 55M dash at 7.34. Quentin Case was 13th at 7.37. Zutz finished 19th at 7.53.

The 200M found Andy Coyle taking seventh in 26.34. Mathew Kiehne finished 19th at 30.14.

At 400M, Layton Howerton took eighth at 1:14.43.

The 800M run was won by Christian Collette with a time of 2:13.81. Kiehne finished ninth at 2:38.43. Michael Harrison was 13th 2:48.89.

The boys 1600 featured Zach Voeltz in third at 5:14.67. Steven Rein was 10th (5:40.66). Ben Gjere was 15th at 6:05.56.

Breitsprecher took fifth in the 55M hurdles (9.89).

In the 4 x 800M relay, the team of Zach Case, Harrison, Collin Bennett and Arman Vardanyan took third with a time of 9:49.44.

The team took second in the 1600 sprint medley. Runners included Decker, Coyle, Erik Peterson, and Breitsprecher.

Stone took ninth in shot put (36-01.00). Eric Holst was 17th (33.05.00). Ole Andreas-Dalsbo finished 26th (30-08.00). Greyson Stocker was 34th at 26-09.00.
