Jordan Miller, Fillmore Central junior, continued his championship play going with a first place finish at the Section 1A golf tournament held last week at Eastwood Golf Course in Rochester. Miller shot a 75, five strokes better than second place B. Borkowski of Lewiston-Altura.

Senior Trevor Barnes just missed a trip to the state, losing out in a four-man playoff for the final two individual spots. Barnes shot an 83 for the 18 holes.

The other individuals advancing besides Miller are Victor Peterson (80) and Tom Braaten (83) of Blooming Prairie, along with Hudson Stensgard (82) and Charlie Krambeer (83) of Rushfrod-Peterson.

Also competing at the section meet for Fillmore Central were Alex Lange (88) and Matson Kiehne (90). Delton Sauer was also scheduled to play in the tournament, but was ill and did not compete.
