The Preston and Harmony Fire Departments recognized the winners of their annual fire safety poster contest on Monday morning. The theme for this year's posters was to depict a scene around the lesson of having two ways out of a home.

Winners were selected in three age categories, kindergarten and first grade, second and third grade and fourth and fifth grade.

Winners for the Preston department were, in kindergarten and first grade, Aubrey Larson, first; Tiana Picket-Hanson, second; and Grace Wangen, third. Winners from the second and third grade were Olivia Sethre, first; Kendyl Krailing, second; and Madelyn Bergey, third. Winners from the fourth and fifth grade were Elizabeth Jones, first; Kaylee Arndt, second; and Brody Vrieze, third.

Winners for the Harmony department were in kindergarten and first grade, Audra Otto, first; Delaney Yoder, second; and Olivial Whalen, third. From the second and third grade, winners were Emma Illg, first; Kadyn Schroeder, second; and Sophie Onsager, third. From the fourth and fifth grade, winners were Raen Johnson, first; Riley Lange, second; and Jordon Oelkers, third.
