As a team, the Fillmore Central boys finished second in the sub-section tournament and advanced to the Section One A tournament, which was scheduled for Tuesday, May 28, at Eastwood Golf Course in Rochester.

The team had a score of 338, 20 strokes behind the sub-section winner, Wabasha-Kellogg (318). Leading the way for Fillmore Central was Jordan Miller. Miller had a score of 74, good for co-medalist in the meet with W-K's Fletcher Blaschko. Other Falcon scores were Matt Guttormson (86), Ascher Ostrom (88), Trevor Barnes (90),Mike Walsh (92) and Alex Lange (93).

Five of the six Fillmore Central girls advanced to the section tournament. Moving on were Katie Tammel (95), Keeley Todd (97), Grace Miller (107), Laura Dooney (112) and Skyelar Veiseth (127). Elayna Kiehne, the Falcons' sixth golfer, lost a playoff spot on a two-hole play-off to a golfer from Houston.

As a team, FC finished third, 411, behind W-K (379) and Lewiston-Altura (389). Lanesboro (506) was fourth and Houston (541) was fifth.

The state meet is June 11 and 12 at Pebble Creek Golf Club, Becker, Minn.
