Fillmore Central golfer Miller takes fourth, Tammel eighth

Last Thursday the Three Rivers held their annual Golf Conference Tournament. This year the tournament was held in Winona at "The Bridges."
Individually, Jordan Miller tied for fourth in the boys tournament with a score of 83 and Katie Tammel had a round of 102, good for an eighth place tie in the girls tournament.
Team-wise the guys were sixth (370) and the gals were third (438). Wabasha-Kellogg had the best scores for both the boys (346) and girls (375).
FC boys scores: Miller (83), Alex Lange (93), Trevor Barnes(97), Matt Guttormson (97), Ascher Ostrom (98) and Mike Walsh (109).
FC girls scores: Tammel (102), Keeley Todd (106), Grace Miller (112), Laura Donney (118), Elayna Kiehne (130) and Skyelar Veiseth (138).
Tuesday the teams were at Willow Creek for the sub-section tournament. Players who advance will be playing in the Section 1A Tournament at the Eastwood Course in Rochester, next Tuesday, May 28.
We also have results from a couple of dual meets for the boys.
Caledonia/Spring Grove...FC wins, 174-177. Matt Guttormson was medalist with a 40. Other scores for the Falcons: Jordan Miller (42), Trevor Barnes (46), Ascher Ostrom (46), Alex Lange (50) and Mike Walsh (55). JV scores: Vaughan Schmidt (57), Nate Birch (60) and Kurtis Hershberger (64).
Chatfield...FC 175, Chatfield 218. Jordan Miller had the low score with a 38. Other FC scores: Guttormson (42), Barnes (47), Walsh (48), Lange (49) and Ostrom (55). JV scores: Birch (53), Lee Dyreson (61), Schmidt (65) and Hershberger (65). The JV team also won, 244-265.
