Team awards for the '13-14 LHS ladies' basketball team are now official, and four Burros have won those honors.

Junior center Olivia Haug was voted Most Valuable Player. She led the Burros in several categories, including total points scored (342), rebounds (366), steals (53), and blocked shots (8). Haug was also second in assists (30), and played in all 27 contests.

The Most Improved Player Award went to junior forward Kayla Leiding. She totaled 44 rebounds, 39 points, 9 steals, 5 assists, and 10 "defensive effort" points (for outstanding plays) in 26 appearances.

Freshman guard Cassidy Ruud won the Defensive Player of the Year award. She had 64 rebounds, 98 points, 22 assists, and 20 defensive effort points. Ruud added 18 steals and a block to team totals as well, and played in all 27 games.

The Burro award went to sophomore center Olivia Rogers. She had 47 points in 22 games, along with 35 rebounds, 16 defensive effort points, 3 blocked shots, 7 steals, and 3 assists.

The Burros finished the season at 8-19 overall, 5-12 in conference games. They graduate three seniors, but still had nine juniors, a sophomore, and five freshmen listed on the varsity roster.
