Smith added that teaching the fundamentals to inexperienced golfers hasn't been easy with the weather. "It's been a tough year to practice," he stated, "that's been a big issue."

Lanesboro is scheduled to travel to GMLO on Tuesday, May 14. Thursday is a make-up date for the boys, who will travel to Glenville-Emmons. On Friday, the conference championships will be held in Adams. On Tuesday May 21, the sub-section tourney will take place at Willow Creek, Smith said.
