Anita Emma Runge died Saturday, May 18, 2013, at Harmony Healthcare, where she had been a resident for many years.
She was born Sept. 15, 1919, to Carl and Louise (Haas) Runge in the family home in rural Harmony.
She was a kind, humble, caring person who always had a smile on her face.
She was a lifelong member of St. Paul's (Big Spring) Lutheran Church where she was baptized and confirmed, attended Sunday School, Luther League and was a member of the Ladies Aid and Circle.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Marie Runge; a special friend, Cheryl Elliot; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Leonard, Millard and Carl; and her sisters, Ruth, Esther and Lottie.
Her funeral will be Friday, May 24, at 2 p.m. at St. Paul's (Big Spring) Lutheran Church in rural Harmony. The Rev. Linda Helberg will be officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church and burial will be in the Big Springs Cemetery.
Lindstrom Funeral Home, Harmony, is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorials are preferred to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
