Helen M. Beaman, 88, of Rockford, Ill., died Saturday, May 18, 2013, in her home.

She was born June 3, 1924, in Mabel, the daughter of George and Beulah (Soiney) Larson. She married John Beaman April 24, 1952.

She worked at National Lock for 34 years. She was member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and the Rebecca Circle for over 50 years. She always remained active at home.

She is survived by her husband, John; son, Jerry Beaman of Rockford; grandchildren, Cochise (Kim) of Rockford, Jeremy of Denver, Colo., and Johnny of Rockford; a great-grandchild, Soleil; sisters, Norma Spitzmiller of Rockford and Marie Betsinger of Wisconsin; a brother, Leland (Marcella) Larson of Arizona; and sisters-in-law, Helen and Marcia Larson both of Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Berneice Garnes; and brothers, Harold, Leslie and Richard Larson.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 2013, in Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 4620 20th St., in Rockford, Ill., with Rev. Ralph Kuespert officiating. Burial will be in New Milford Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the family for a memorial to be established in Helen's name.
