Larry D. Losen, 67, died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at home in Middleton, Wis.

He was born on May 10, 1945, the son of Alfred and Gyda Losen. He graduated from Luther College in 1967. He served in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1969 in Korea.

He married Susan Hoffman Sept. 4, 1976. He was hired by the FDIC Bank as a bank examiner from May 1967 to 2009. He then worked as a contractor from 2010-2012.

He had a passion working as a bank examiner and mentoring new employees. He also loved his Blue Lake Home in Minocqua, Wis., and enjoyed entertaining guests. He also was known to be an avid Badger football fan.

He is survived by his wife, Susan; sons, Jason (Hillary Wohlferd) Losen and Joshua Losen; brothers, Glendon (Sandra) Losen and Alton (Violette) Losen of Mabel; numerous special nieces, nephews and also dearest friends, Kenneth and Gayle Wilcox and Mike and Laurie Krutza.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, John Losen; and a grandson, Sawyer Losen.

A memorial service was held at St. Martin's Lutheran Church in Cross Plains, Wis., on Wednesday, Nov. 21, with the Rev. Rick Lund presiding.
