Linda Olson, 72, of Spring Valley, died Saturday, March 15, 2014, at Saint Marys Hospital in Rochester.

Linda Lee Ramaker was born Jan. 23, 1942, in Spring Valley to Winfield and Valoy (Frankson) Ramaker. She was baptized March 22, 1942, in Cherry Grove and confirmed Nov. 3, 1963, in the Lutheran Confessions of the Faith.

On June 7, 1963, she was united in marriage to Vince Olson at First English Lutheran Church in Spring Valley.

She was very involved with the First English Lutheran Church, being active in the Lutheran Women's Missionary League, Mary Martha Bible Study, church council office and singing in the choir.

Several of her interests included history and genealogy, camping, family gatherings, reading, traveling and wintering in Arizona, sewing, quilting and being a member of the Blue Bird Association.

She is survived by her husband, Vince of Spring Valley; children, Tim (Tammy) Olson of Spring Valley and Tomi Kay (Dan) Best of Apex, N.C.; three grandchildren, Tyler (fiancé JeNee Jarvis) Olson of St. Cloud, Kayla Olson of Rochester and Connor Best of Apex, N.C.; one great-grandson, Landon Olson of St. Cloud; six sisters, Twyla Hellickson of Spring Valley, Dianne (Steve) Bicknese of Wykoff, Mary Ann (Steven) Schultz of Spring Valley, Yvonne (Randy) Kraling of Spring Valley, Yvette (Jeff) Halvorson of Rochester and Cris Ramaker of Rochester and seven brothers, Dean (Diane) Ramaker of Stewartville, Thomas (Lynette) Ramaker of Spring Valley, Steve Ramaker of Wykoff, Clair (Sheri) Ramaker of Wykoff, Donovan (Sheri) Ramaker of Stewartville, Richard (Margaret) Ramaker of Spring Valley and Gene (Jeannette) Ramaker of Spring Valley.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Billi Snyder and two brothers, Neil Ramaker and Mark Ramaker.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First English Lutheran Church, Spring Valley Public Library, and/or Spring Valley Food Shelf.

Funeral services for her will be held 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 20, at First English Lutheran Church in Spring Valley with the Rev. Loel Wessel officiating. Burial will take place in Spring Valley Cemetery.

Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, at the Hindt Funeral Home in Spring Valley and one hour prior to the service at church.
