Virginia K. Bigalk, 66, of Harmony, died Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013, at Green Lea Manor in Mabel.

She was born May 24, 1947, in Harmony to Russell and Ione (Stoskopf) Bigalk. She graduated from Harmony High School in 1965 and from Mankato State College in 1969 with a degree in psychology. Following college she spent a few years in Arizona and then moved back to Harmony and lived with her parents.

She was a member of Greenfield Lutheran Church. She loved music of all kind and played piano and organ and enjoyed singing. She was a very quiet and gentle person who loved children and greatly enjoyed her nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her brother, Lee (Diane) Bigalk of Harmony; a sister, Debra (Jeff) Erickson of Lakeville, Minn.; nieces, Rosanne (Steven) Casterton of Queen Creek, Az., and Daisha Erickson of Lakeville; a nephew, Richard (Dawn) Bigalk of Milwaukee, Wis.; great-nephews, Ethan, Lucas and Garett Casterton and Ian Bigalk; a great-niece, Morgan Bigalk; aunts, Gloria Herron and Phyllis Hagen; and cousins, Jay (Angela) Herron, Sharon (Ron) Houle and Steve (Bonnie) Hagen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Ione; and a cousin, Kyle Hagen.

Funeral services will be Friday, Nov. 29, at 2 p.m. at the Greenfield Lutheran Church in Harmony. Interment will follow at Greenfield Cemetery in Harmony. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of services at the church.

The Lindstrom funeral home is assisting the family.
