Fillmore Central will be holding commencement exercises on Sunday for 42 students. The graduation ceremonies will be held in the Fillmore Central High School gymnasium, beginning at 1:30 p.m.

The class has chosen their colors to be black, silver and teal and their flower to be a white rose tipped in silver or teal.

Their class motto is "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step" by Lao-Tzu.

Class officers are Matthew Guttormson, president; Nicholas Ebner, vice-president, Cody Hendrickson, secretary, and Brandon Breitsprecher, treasurer.

Highest honor students, achieving a grade point average of 3.75 and higher, are Zachary Case, Kerri Dornink, Cody Hendrickson, Gwendolyn Petrillo and Michael Walsh.

Honor students, earning a grade point average of 3.5 to 3.74, are Brandon Breitsprecher, Christian Collett, Andrew Coyle, Nicholas Ebner, Adam McCabe, Jordan O'Connor, Jacob Ristau and Miranda Tarrence.

Members of the National Honor Society are Zachary Case, Andrew Coyle, Kerri Dornink, Braden Hahn, Cody Hendrickson and Gwendolyn Petrillo.

Baccalaureate was held on Sunday, May 19, at Christ Lutheran Church in Preston.

A senior awards night and scholarship presentation event was held on Monday, May 13, where recipients of local scholarships were named.

Fillmore Central Scholarship Foundation: $500 was awarded to Zachary Case, donated by Harmony Telephone Company; Nicholas Ebner, in memory of Gregory Love; Cody Hendrickson, in memory of Earl Mensink; Gwendolyn Petrillo, in memory of Waldo Bunge; Jacob Ristau, in memory of Richard W. Mensink; Miranda Tarrence, in memory of Bernice and Richard Nelson; and Michael Walsh, given by the Fillmore Central Scholarship Foundation.

College freshman Zachary Olstad received a $1,000 award for the Leland C. Heusinkveld Memorial. This is the second year in a four-consecutive-year scholarship.

Farmers Shipping Association of Harmony: Daniel Gatzke and Braden Hahn each received $500.

Jeff Ryland Memorial: Adam McCabe received $1,000.

Harmony Area Promotional Association ~ Miss Harmony Scholarship: Miss Harmony Miranda Tarrence received $600; Attendants Jordan O'Connor and Tomi Stone each received $300.

POET: $500 scholarships were awarded to Jacob Tammel, Gwendolyn Petrillo, Zachary Case and Braden Hahn.

Harmony Community Healthcare Foundation: Deja Lind received a $500 scholarship.

Robert F. Jackson Memorial Scholarship: Zachary Case and Matthew Guttormson each received $1,000.

The Sethre Scholarship: Nicholas Ebner and Michael Walsh each received $2,000 and college freshman Zachary Olstad received a renewal of $2,000.

RCTC Foundation Frank Jaszewski Scholarship: Jordan O'Connor received $500.

The Arlin Falck Foundation: Jacob Ristau and Cody Hendrickson each received $950.

Samuel Bigalk Family: Scholarships in the amount of $465.17 were awarded to Brandon Breitsprecher, Matthew Guttormson, Deja Lind, Dana Parkhurst, Zachary Case. College freshman Jessie Tammel received a renewal for that same amount.

Preston Lions Club: Receiving $300 each were Nathaniel Harrison, Michael Walsh and Nicholas Ebner.

The Wayne and Jeannine Hoag Memorial: Mitch Ristau received $500.

Wildlife and Habitat of Fillmore County: Braden Hahn received $500.

The Justin Delbert Mandelko Memorial: Adam McCabe received $500.

Matt Hahn Memorial: Braden Hahn received $500.

Union Prairie Lutheran Church: Brandon Breitsprecher received $1,000.

Bloomfield Mutual Insurance Company: Christian Collett received $1,000.

Rick McCabe Scholarship: Braden Hahn received $500.

Tri-County Electric: Students receiving $400 each were Andrew Coyle, Cody Hendrickson, Adam McCabe, Jordan O'Connor and Jacob Ristau.

Fillmore Central FFA Alumni Association: $250 was presented to Braden Hahn.

Fillmore Central FFA Chapter Scholarship: Braden Hahn received $250.

Steven Daskam Memmorial: Cody Hendrickson received $500.

Pepsi Scholarship: Adam McCabe received $500.

Morris Titrud Scholarship: Mitch Ristau received $500.

Harmony High School Class of 1957 Scholarship: Andrew Coyle received $500.

Harmony Arts Council: $100 was given to Kerri Dornink.

Preston Arts Board: Deja Lind received $100.

Cody Hendrickson was also awarded a $500 scholarship for the Fillmore County Journal Writing Program; a Bemidji State Leadership award of $1,000 and a Bemidji State Academic Excellence award of $1,000 a year for two years.

Mitch Ristau earned a "Beat the Odds" scholarship in the amount of $2,000 from the Rochester Community and Technical College Foundation.

Adam McCabe received the Hoffman Technical Scholarship in the amount of $1,000 from the Rochester Community and Technical College Foundation.
