LANESBORO, MINNESOTA

REGULAR MEETING

APRIL 18, 2013

The meeting was called to order by Dave Ruen, with Dave Lawstuen, Steve Snyder, Lolly Melander, Chris Troendle, and Terri Scott present. Jeff Boggs, Madeline Snyder, Jade Sexton, James Semmen, Anton Ademek and Sara Baskett were also present.

Motion by Snyder, second by Scott to approve the agenda with additions. All members voted yes. Motion carried.

Motion by Melander, second by Lawstuen to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of March 21, 2013. All members voted yes. Motion carried.

Motion by Lawstuen, second by Troendle to approve the bills for the month of March. All members voted yes. Motion carried.

Motion by Snyder, second by Lawstuen to table the Treasurer's report. All members voted yes. Motion carried.

Motion by Lawstuen, second by Melander to accept the bid by Pam Ristau CPA for the 2012-2013 school audit. All members voted yes. Motion carried.

Motion by Scott, second by Melander to pass a Resolution to Reduce Ag Programs and the Ag Position to half time. All members voted yes. Motion carried.

Motion by Lawstuen, second by Troendle to approve the changes to the 2013-2014 calendar. Lawstuen, Troendle and Scott voted in favor and Snyder and Melander voted against. Motion carried.

Motion by Snyder, second by Melander to authorize membership in the Minnesota State High School League for the 2013-2014 school year. All members voted yes. Motion carried.

Motion by Troendle, second by Scott to pass a resolution recognizing the accomplishments of the Choir and Band at Large Group contest. All members voted yes. Motion carried.

The Awards/Scholarship Banquet will be Sunday, April 21 at 6 p.m.

Motion by Scott, second by Lawstuen to move the May Board meeting to May 13, 2013 at 7 p.m. All members voted yes. Motion carried.

Steve Snyder would like to recognize all the effort put into the recent Young Musicians event.

Sarah Baskett wants to make sure information is available to incoming 7th graders concerning FFA, FCCLA, Athletics etc.

Dave Lawstuen stated that the Booster Club is giving funds to each classroom teacher to spend at their discretion. The benefit put on by Jim Iverson in memory of Brent Tufte has given money to the Booster Club to be used for the Lanesboro Football program.

Motion by Lawstuen, second by Scott to close the meeting for a personnel issue. All members voted yes. Motion carried.

Motion by Lawstuen, second by Melander to adjourn the meeting. All members voted yes. Motion carried.
