Sharing her many talents, Mollie Busta created a Christmas special featuring a variety of music, dancers, and even a visit from Santa Claus himself! The show was taped at the RFD-TV Theater in Branson, MO, in early November. Mollie has a weekly polka show on RFD-TV. A special presentation of "The Mollie B Christmas Special" was shown at the Spring Grove Cinema on Saturday, Dec. 21.
Some of the stars from the show were also at the Cinema to take in this special showing. Local Spring Grove resident (also known as Santa in the show), Greg Wennes, was at the cinema along with a family from Cashton, WI - Brian, Jodi, Philip, and Presley Brueggen. Mollie B was also there along with her niece, Kennedy Busta.
Admission was free to see this festive special on the big screen, but donations were taken with all proceeds going to three local charities. The designated charities that received this special bonus were the following - A.B.L.E. $155, Camp Winnebago $165, and Sunrise Recovery Home $62.
"The Mollie B Christmas Special" DVDs are also available to purchase. All three years of shows - 2011, 2012, and 2013 - are available for purchase at the Bluff Country Artists Gallery. DVDs may also be purchased by mail by sending $35 per DVD order (indicating the show desired) to Mollie Busta, 4036 Pineview Street, Onalaska, WI 54650.
Plans for a 2014 Christmas special are under consideration at this time. For previous "The Mollie B Christmas Special" shows, Busta Tour and Travel have been providing bus trips to Branson to take in the show plus other shows.
