Notice is hereby given that a parcel of land (vacant lot) located at 505 S.

Sherman Street, Houston, MN shall be sold to the highest bidder at public sale.

The sale will be governed by the provisions of M.S. 282.01 and by the

resolution of the Houston County Board of Commissioners authorizing such sale.

The resolution reads as follows:

BE IT RESOLVED THAT Parcel #24.0411.000 of tax-forfeited land listed on

List of Tax-Forfeited Land #1 be classified as non-conservation land; that

the basic sale price be set at $11,000.00, and that authorization for a public

sale of this land be granted, pursuant to M.S. 282.01; that the sale will be

held at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 10, 2013, by the Houston County

Auditor in the Commissioners Room at the Houston County Courthouse,

for not less than the basic sale price; and that full payment of the purchase

price and the additional costs shall be due at the time of sale.

In addition to the sale price, the purchaser shall be responsible for the

following costs: 3% surcharge for the state assurance account; State Deed Fee

of $25.00; Deed Filing Fee of $46.00; State Deed Tax in the amount of 0.33% of

the sales price.
