There are so many great things happening in Spring Grove right now!

All the businesses working together for the Detour Dollars, the hiding of the Troll, great movies at the cinema, swimming at our pool, Music-in-the-Park, Ye Olde Opera House is preparing for their next shows, the Norwegian Ridge Birding and Nature Trails is open for all to enjoy, and the list could go on.

I am thankful everyday that I live in such a great community.

We found that many people were not on Facebook to see the updates from MnDOT, so several of us decided to start a blog to give you another way to stay up to date on what is happening specifically on Main Street in Spring Grove.

Please checkout the blog "Eyes on Main Street: Watching our town move forward by improving our downtown," which was started on April 16.

We try to post at least once a week and sometimes more. I seem to write most of the stories, but I receive photos and more from Patty Storlie and Steve Kemp.

We try to post current photos as well as factual information. We have also included some history of Main Street in some posts.

Check out the April 28 post for quotes from Henry Fladager from 1939, the history lesson on April 26, the detour routes on May 30, to the latest photos from June 22.

If you have anything you want us to share, just email saundy@springgrove.coop or email sgmainstreetproject@gmail.com.

Enjoy your summer.
