Catherine Frances (Madigan) Morken, 67, of Spring Grove, died Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, at Tweeten Lutheran Healthcare in Spring Grove.

She was born April 11, 1946, in Portland, Ore., to James and Margaret (Malloy) Madigan.

On April 3, 1965, she married Roger Morken in Vancouver, Wash.

In addition to Portland, she had also lived in Albany, Ore., but for the last 46 years, had been a resident of Spring Grove.

She had formerly been employed by Multnomah County Hospital, Control Data in Spring Grove, Cowgill Denatal Center in Caledonia, Spring Grove Bottling Works and Tweeten Healthcare Center.

She had been a member of the Spring Grove American Legion Auxilary, and had been an emergency medical technician for 10 years on the Spring Grove Ambulance, and modeled for Vivian's, Daytons, and J. Wiebke dress shops over the years.

Survivors include her husband Roger of Spring Grove; her children Peter (Ann) Morken of Wilmington, Del., and Eric (Jill) Morken of La Crescent; her grandchildren, Shannon, Nicole and Kyle Morken of Wilmington, and Isabelle, Collin and Madeline Morken of La Crescent; her sisters, Sharon Hornstein of California, Ann Ziebell of Portland, Rosemary Annala of Waldport, Ore., and Patty Madigan of Alabama.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, James, John, Peter and Paul Madigan.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spring Grove with the Rev. Stephanie Frey officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 7 P.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall in Spring Grove, and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
