Connie Irene Dahler, 95, of Spring Grove, died Tuesday Dec. 11, 2012, at Tweeten Lutheran Healthcare Center in Spring Grove.

She was born on June 5, 1917, in Black Hammer Township in rural Spring Grove to Knute and Maria (Karlsbraaten) Dahler. Connie was baptized and confirmed at Faith Lutheran Church in Black Hammer.

She was a 1934 Spring Grove High School graduate and a graduate of Metropolitan Business College in Chicago.

Connie worked for National Cash Register for 22 years, then worked at Norplex in La Crosse, Wis., and retired in 1982.

In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling and golf. She was a proud and active member of the Sons of Norway for over 30 years. She was very proud of her Norwegian heritage.

She enjoyed trips to Alaska to visit her brothers and a memorable trip to Norway. She was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church and it's women's groups.

Connie never married but spent many years enjoying the companionship of her special friend, Ronnie Ambers.

Survivors include Ronnie Ambers; her nephews, Manley Dahler of Winona and Don Dahler of Apple Valley; a niece, Maxine (Dahler) Mullenbach of Rochester; and several great-nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Ernest, Carlin, Melbourne and Virgil.

Funeral services will be held Dec. 15 at Faith Lutheran Church in Black Hammer. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pastor Leonard Liptack officiated.
