Edna B. Anderson, 93, died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, at the Green Lea Manor Nursing Home in Mabel.

She was born April 15, 1919, in Newburg, Minn., to Roy and Clara (Skorgen) Iverson. She attended the Newburg School and graduated from the Mabel High School.

On Aug. 30, 1938, she married Ordell Anderson in Waukon, Iowa. They farmed in Preble Township, Fillmore County, for several years until Ordell's death in 1984.

She resided on the farm with their son, Calvin, until 2006 when she became a resident of the Green Lea Manor Nursing Home.

She was a member of the Newburg United Methodist Church and the Newburg Garden Club, and enjoyed her flower garden and trips with Ordell on their Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Survivors include four children, Jean (Shorty) Betz of Caledonia, Carolyn (Lorris) Siewert of Lake City, and Linda Hillman and Calvin Anderson, both of Mabel; 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Leroy (Jean) Iverson of Decorah, Iowa, and a sister-in-law, Audrey Iverson of Mabel.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a great-granddaughter, Taylor Johnson; a daughter-in-law, Ann Anderson; a brother, Wallace Iverson; and a sister, Gladys Franklin.

Funeral services were Sept. 4 at the Newburg United Methodist Church in rural Mabel with Pastor David Stoeger officiating. Burial was in the Choice Cemetery.
