Helen M. Klug, 90, a lifelong resident of Caledonia, died Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Caledonia Care and Rehab.

She was born Aug. 26, 1922, in Caledonia to Henry and Dora (Kipp) Eikens. She attended from Caledonia Schools.

On July 6, 1944, she married Gerald Koenig in Caledonia. Helen worked at Albert's Grocery in Caledonia for 25 years. Gerald died May 13, 1976.

On Nov. 8, 1985, she married Ellsworth Klug. He later died Nov. 6, 2006.

She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Caledonia and enjoyed her family and friends. Her hobbies were sewing and baking.

Survivors include four children, Tom (Gayle) Koenig of Minnesota City, Susan (Roger) Burg of Caledonia, Evelyn (James) Ananis of Waltham, Mass., and Nancy Steele of Caledonia; step-children, Tony (Gerry) Klug of Caledonia, Roberta (Dave) Galer of Fennimore, Wis., Pam (Steve) Savitsky of Oakdale, Conn., and Manon (Tom) Hoscheit, of Caledonia; five grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; several great- grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Leonette Eikens, Ann (Roger) Koel, and Elaine Fisch, all of Caledonia, and Mary (Howard) Meyer of La Crescent.

She was preceded in death by both of her husbands and her parents as well as four brothers, Ralph, Clarence, Irvin and Leroy, and a sister, Jeanette.

A Funeral Mass was held March 5 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Caledonia with Father Gregory Leif officiating. Burial was in the Calvary Cemetery in Caledonia.
