Ingolf O. Ingvalson, 89, died Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at the Milford Care Center in Milford, Iowa.

He was born Jan. 23, 1924, in Spring Grove, the seventh of eight children born to Ole and Emma Louise (Gindeland) Ingvalson. He graduated from Spring Grove High School in 1941 and continued to work on the family farm until 1946 when he went to the University of Minnesota Ag School, finishing his degree in 1948.

He then moved to Buffalo, Minn., where he worked for the Production Credit Association and then the Federal Land Bank in 1958, where he continued until his retirement in 1985.

He married Sara Mae Fuelling in 1952 and from that union were two sons, David and Glen.

Ingolf was very involved in the community. He was active at Zion Lutheran Church as a choir member and on its church council; a member of the Buffalo Fire Department for many years; a member and school board president of Buffalo High School; and many other organizations in the community.

The couple retired and moved to Chehalis, Wash., in 1985 where he continued to volunteer in community activities and participate in church choir.

The couple then moved to Sun City, Ariz., where he continued his volunteer activities and church life.

Survivors include his sons, David (Gini) Ingvalson of Spirit Lake, Iowa, and Glen Ingvalson of Minneapolis; four grandchildren, Stacy Ingvalson of Roseburg, Ore., Andrew Ingvalson of Spirit Lake, Aaron Ingvalson of Minneapolis and Danielle Ingvalson of Minneapolis; a sister, Marie Linderbaum of Ossian, Iowa; a brother Harlan (Joanne) Ingvalson of Caledonia; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, four brothers and several brothers and sisters-in-laws.
