Joseph Christian Holland, 34, of Spring Grove, died Sunday, June 23, 2013, in Spring Grove.

He was born Dec. 28, 1978, in Caledonia at 6 a.m. to Dean and Teresa (Christian) Holland.

He was a Spring Grove High School graduate and had attended Winona Technical College.

On Aug. 10, 2002, Joe married his best friend and love of his life, Bobbi Sue Rauk. The couple was blessed with two children - a son, Hunter Christian, and a daughter, Sydney Marie; they meant the world to him.

He was a volunteer firefighter for Spring Grove. He took his duty very seriously. He put in many hours of study time for the written test and hours of rope tying.

His play, his passion was hunting, being in the woods with his friend Joel Betcher, and teaching his wife and his son to follow in his footsteps, or talking about hunting, guns and his bow and the deer that he saw, or the hundreds of pictures from the scout cameras, or what critters he happened to see that day, and his food plots he created for those deer.
