Keith Ernest Johnson, 84, of Lewiston died surrounded by his family on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at the Lewiston Villa.

He was born April 10, 1928, in Postville, Iowa, to Ernest and Lucille (Harris) Johnson. He attended rural schools in the Canton area and began farming at an early age.

On June 25, 1949, Keith was united in marriage with Beverly Lunde at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spring Grove.

Besides farming, Keith hauled can milk for a period of years to the Fremont Creamery. He also hauled scrap iron for several years. Keith sold Archer Oil for many years, and during that time he received a Bulova watch for high sales. He also was a custodian at Enterprise Rest Area for more than 20 years before retiring at age 78. Above all, Keith loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include his loving wife of more than 63 years, Beverly Johnson of Lewiston; children, Karen (Jim) Brown, Aleta (Duane) Papenfuss, Harold (Lynne) Johnson, Lynda (Dan) Duncanson, Rebecca (Rick) Domke, and Craig (Vicky) Johnson; 23 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; a brother, Neil (Judy) Johnson; a sister, Ramona (Lavern) Moger; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, LeRoy, Duane, William and Carroll; a grandson, Willie Johnson and a great-granddaughter, Kayla Klawiter.

Funeral services were Feb. 13 at St. Charles United Methodist Church. The Rev. Heather E. Klason officiated. Interment followed in the Lewiston Public Cemetery.
