Leila Viola Ingvalson, 98, of Spring Grove, died Wednesday Dec. 5, 2012, at Tweeten Lutheran Healthcare Center in Spring Grove.
She was born on Dec. 26, 1913, in rural Decorah, Iowa, to Lewis and Mathilda (Anderson) Tweeten
Leila spent her younger years on a farmstead in North Dakota before moving to Mabel. On Nov. 28, 1940, she married Grant Ingvalson in Mabel.
Leila enjoyed flowers and gardening. She was a member of Highland Lutheran Church in rural Decorah.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda (Larry) Johnson of Spring Grove, and a son, Gary (Judy) Ingvalson of Onalaska, Wis.; three grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Morris (Geneva) Tweeten of Spring Grove; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Otis Tweeten, and her sisters, Mabel Buckmeier, Esther O'Dell, Charlotte Forde Rhode and Gladys Lundvedt.
Funeral services were Dec. 8 at Highland Lutheran Church in rural Decorah.
