Marjolaine Jacobson, 87, of La Crosse

Marjolaine M. (Crawford) Jacobson, 87, of La Crosse, died peacefully on Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013 surrounded by the love of her family at home.
She was born in Brooklyn, Iowa, on Jan. 30, 1926, to Marian and Robert Crawford. On Aug. 14, 1943, she was married to Clifford H. Jacobson in Spring Grove. They celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary this past year.
Marjolaine was formerly employed by the La Crosse YWCA as a swim instructor, lifeguard and receptionist. She has been a member of St Paul's Lutheran Church since 1949.
Marjolaine is survived by her husband, Clifford, and by five children, Cheryle (Doug Wenum) Valiquette of St. Paul, Steve Jacobson of Onalaska, Wis., Angela (Jeff) Bluske of Onalaska, Wis., Christine Valentine of La Crosse and Susan (Michael) Dobratz of Appleton, Wis.
She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Marcy Jacobson LeMagne, one infant daughter, Katherine Mary Jacobson, her mother, Marian M. Rosson, and by one brother, Robert Crawford.
Marjolaine's constant love and affection for her family will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 26, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 420 West Avenue, La Crosse. The Rev. Tom Meyer will officiate and burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the church on Thursday from 11 a.m. until time of service.
The Dickinson Family Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Memorials may be given to Gundersen Lutheran Hospice Program, the American Heart Association or a charity of donor's choice.
